Treating Oily Skin

Regardless of age our skin becomes oily. Our skin becomes oily because there is too much production of sebum. Sebum is a natural moisturizer of our body. Although it is a moisturizer, too much of sebum somehow causes skin damage. Accumulation of too much sebum makes the skin greasy, heavy skin texture and thick. Whenever this happens the pores of the skin may be blocked thus formation of blemishes, pimples and wrinkles occur. Although it is not an advantage, one good thing of having an oily skin is it makes the aging process a bit slower than usual.

Treating oily skin is not very easy. It needs a huge amount of patience because it needs time to treat the skin problem. There will be a lot of changes in our lifestyle to achieve desired results.

Diet

The foods we eat are sometimes one of the factors in having unhealthy skin. Fatty and oily foods are big factors to make our skin oily. The oils they secrete inside the body are considered natural free radicals. Avoid foods rich in starch, processed foods, sugar and salt. It is best to eat green leafy vegetables and fruits.

Rest

One needs to have the right amount of sleep. When we are awake even at the wee hours of the morning our skin cells tend to produce excessive amount of sebum. Sebum is natural oil or moisturizer of our body. Even if it is considered as a moisturizer, excessive secretion of this to our skin makes the skin greasy and thick.

Cleanse the face

It is very important to get rid of the oil in our skin, especially on our face. We can remove the grease and thick felling by washing our face with facial cleanser regularly. Also, it will get rid of the dirt and other free radicals we have collected when doing outside activities. These harmful elements may also be the reason for having an oily skin.

Hydrate

This is very important in order to maintain a healthy skin tone. Water makes the skin healthy as it hydrates all the skin cells. It is advised to drink eight to ten glasses of liquid daily. This can be tea or juice. However, it is better to drink plain water as it will also flush out all the free radical and harmful elements from our body.

Use moisturizer

Moisturizer is a skin care products which would aid us in treating oily skin. However, the question is what is a good moisturizer for oily skin? In order to know a good moisturizer for oily skin, the product must consist of ingredients such as cynergy TK, jojoba oil and babasu wax.

Treating oily skin is not an easy task. As I have said it takes time to treat, but when we are religious in our treatment, satisfactory results will always be at hand.
